Good day for shopping? Weather report 15 December 2010

Observations made 06:28 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire

Air pressure : 1039mb

Temperature : 2.8c

Wind : 3mph (NW)

Rain last 24 hours : less than 2mm

Relative humidity : 91%

Forecast : Today will be the last of the moderate days before we see change in the weather system and a drop in temperatures.  The weather charts for the next few days show narrowing isobars for tomorrow, which indicates a stiffening breeze from a northerly direction.  We can, therefore, expect a cold spell ahead.

For today the radar images show that we can expect a little light rain some time after 08:30 hours and this will be light in nature and may not fall in all parts of our area due to the fragmented formation of the rain carrying cloud.  Should the rain fall where you are it will last, off and on, for about 4 hours.

The wind will remain from a NW direction and will remain at around an average of  5 mph.

Temperatures will remain positive throughout the daytime and we can expect a top temperature of 4c.
