Just for a change. Weather report 23 December 2010.

Observations made 06:27 hours Hammerwich , Lichfield.

Air pressure : 1011mb

Temperature : -2c

Wind : 1 Kmh (NNE)

Relative humidity : 91%

Forecast : After yesterday’s large fall of snow and the disruption that the poor road conditions caused today will provide us with a little respite.

There is a small chance that we could have a brief snow flurry around 08:30, however, this will soon pass and, if it falls at all, will not cause any problems.

For the rest of the day we will see much more brightness than of late and possibly even some full glimpses of a blue sky and even the sun!

Temperatures will, however, remain below freezing and we can only expect a top temperature of around -1c.  This means that footpaths and untreated roads will remain icy.  care still needs to be taken.

The wind will remain from a NNE or N direction and when we get the occasional gust it will make the temperature feel more like -4c to -5c.

As the sun sets temperatures will fall and overnight we can expect a temperature of around -5c by the small hours.

Overall a better day to get out and make those visits to relatives or the shops.
