Weather observations and forecast 28 December 2010

Observations taken at 08:42 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.

Air pressure : 1010mb

Temperature ; 2.1c

Wind : 1Kmh (SSW)

Rain last 24 hours : 6mm

Relative humidity : 99%

Forecast : today will be a mostly cloudy day with only very rare glimpses of the sun.  With the cloud clover and a predominantly southern breeze temperatures will remain positive and we can expect a daytime high of around 3-4c.

As the day progresses we can expect some drizzle and as we move about our area we may even come across patches of mist or fog. The likelihood of the fog will increase as the day passes.

This evening and throughout the night temperatures will remain similar to those we enjoyed during the day  (3C).

With the thaw continuing we may find some local lying water on the roads as the water runs off from the fields.  Main roads and most side roads should now be fine, however, care may still need to be taken on footpaths.
