New Years’ Eve Weather Report.

Observations taken at 07:28 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.

Air pressure : 1026.7mb

Temperature : 3.8c

Wind : Still (last 20 minutes from NE)

Relative humidity : 97%

Forecast : This morning we will still see some odd mist patches but these will not linger or be as dense as the patches that we had yesterday.  At times yesterday some of the patches reduced visibility enough to be considered as fog (visibility less than 200m).

The morning and most of the afternoon looks as if they will be predominantly cloudy although I would not expect any significant rainfall other than the outside chance of some light drizzle.

As the evening comes the clouds will break up a little meaning that temperatures will fall below the daytime high of around 5c to a figure nearer 0c (maybe even -1c).

Again, the evening should remain dry (talking about the weather now!) and conditions for moving around will be generally good.

Finally, can I take this opportunity to wish all the readers of this blog a very happy and healthy new year and to thank you all for your support in 2010.

  1. Happy new year, Kevin. Any chance of arranging a long hot summer for me, just right for cycling?

    Cheers, and Happy New Year
