Forecast : The isobars remain tight over our area today and even tomorrow (see chart) bringing us a strong breeze with occasional high-speed gusts. Today the average wind speed will be around 10mph (from the SSW), however, gusts could reach nearly 50mph.
The temperature will remain seasonally high with a top of around 10c although this will feel lower (around 7c) in the strong breeze.
Intermittently we will have the odd shower of rain as the morning passes, however, with the fast moving clouds these will not last for long and I don’t expect any of the “falls” to be heavy. The current radar imagaes show that the potential of rain should be less be less as the day passes, however, I will monitor this situation and report via twitter.
Overnight the thick clouds will act as a blanket over us and temperatures will remain similar to those found in the day (around 9-10c).
Finally, today is a big day in the history of Chasetown FC as they take on Grimsby town in the FA Trophy. I wish them luck and hope that the weather helps their cause.
In summary. Cloudy, windy with occasional showers.
