WS7 weather report 17 January 2011.

Observations made 06:23hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.

Air pressure : 1017mb

Temperature : 4.9c

Wind : 4mph (SW)

Relative humidity : 94%

Rain since 00:01 hours : 0mm

Rain this month : 30.2mm

Forecast : After the rain and gusty winds of yesterday we will have relative calm and average January conditions today.

The wind will maintain a steady breeze of around 4mph and temperatures will be lower than of late at around 5c.  This is average for the time of year.

The heavy rain to the south of our region is unlikely to reach us and so we will enjoy a mostly  dry day with the possibility of a shower early this morning.

Despite cloud cover we may see the odd glimpse of the sun, however, I don’t think this will be for any sustained periods of time.

As the day passes the chance of mist or fog forming increases particularly as the conditions of cooler temperatures and low wind speeds exist.  Care will need to be taken if  travelling in the early evening.

In summary ; Mostly dry – fog or mist later.
