WS7 weather report 21 January 2011.

Observations made 06:36 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.

Air pressure : 1039.7mb

Temperature : -1.5c

Wind : 3mph (NW)

Wind chill temperature : -3c

Rain since 00:01 hours : 0mm

Rain this month : 30.2mm

Forecast : Another cold and frosty start to the day with the risk of footpaths and untreated roads being icy underfoot.  In addition there is the possibility of mist patches in some localised spots.

Overnight the temperature fell to -3c and it will take some time to recover into positive figures today.  Our high will only be around 2c or 3c.

We will see more cloud than recent days but this will only be thin and will dissipate as the day goes by leaving us with some clear and bright spells.

Overnight temperatures will again fall into negative figures at around -2c.

I have looked at the pressure charts for the next couple of days and I cannot see any significant changes.  The weather, however, is a fickle master and I will continue to monitor all of the radar images just in case of a shift.

The jet stream does appear to change position around Monday evening / Tuesday and this could introduce some changes to our weather pattern with rain or even snow possible.  Tuesday is a long way away at the moment, however, but it is a pattern that I will monitor and report upon again.
