WS7 weather report 24 January 2011

Observations made 06:27 hours hammerwich, Staffordshire.

Air pressure : 1034.8mb (falling)

Temperature : 3.4c

Wind : 1mph (NNE)

Relative humidity : 86%

Rain since 00:01 Hours : 0mm

Rain this month : 30.4mm

Today : A slight change in the weather!

The air pressure is falling and the density of the clouds will increase as the day passes.  This will mean that the temperatures will rise and maintain as the day goes by to a maximum of around 5-6c.

The increased cloud may bring some light rain or drizzle this afternoon and into the early evening.  I cannot give a precise time at the moment for the rain as the radar images show the cloud bed over north Scotland at the moment.  A lot can happen in the next few hours.  Overall it should be a mostly dry day.

With the damper conditions and warmer temperatures we could find some mist or fog as we wake up in the morning but this would soon dissipate.

Winds will remain light although there should be a slight shift in direction from a generally northerly to a NW direction.  The wind speed will increase slightly as the day passes but will not be significant and will only top at around 10mph.

Summary: Cloud increasing, mostly dry some drizzle.
