WS7 weather report 1 February 2011

Observations made 06:36 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.

Air pressure : 1021.3 mb

Temperature : 2.7c

Wind : 7mph SW

Relative humidity : 87%

Measured rain since 00:01hours : 0mm

Forecast for today.

The large bank of rain that I “tweeted” about last night has just about reached our area but the latest radar images show that is now less dense and any rain that does fall during the next two or three hours will only generally be light.   The rain bank will clear our area completely by 11:00 hours.

It will be cloudy this morning but as the day passes the cloud will thin to allow some winter sunshine.  With the wind blowing from the SW the temperature will be warmer than of late and during the day we can expect a high of 7c.  Temperatures will remain positive throughout the night.

The wind will remain from a SW or WSW direction and will remain at around 5-7mph all day.

Summary:  Early rain then a pleasant and warmer day.
