Observations made 06:22 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.

Air pressure : 1016mb

Temperature : 7.3c

Wind 3mph (SSW – S)

Relative humidity : 89%

Rain since 00:01 hours : 0.4mm

Rain this month : 2.2mm

Rain this year : 35.2mm

Forecast for today.

The radar images show that the bulk of the rain cloud has now passed our area but a few fragments are left behind that could bring us the odd light shower / drizzle up to 10:00 hours.  After that time it will remain dry.

It will be a pleasant day with temperatures around 8-9c and although we will have plenty of cloud cover the sun will occasionally break through to bring us some bright sunshine.

The wind will continue to blow from a generally SSW – S direction and this is helping to bring us the occasionally damp but warm weather.  The jet stream images show the isobars wider apart than of recent but we will still have average wind speeds of around 10mph with gusts around 20mph.

Summary.

Damp early hours but quickly clearing to leave  dry and occasionally bright day.

Jet stream image.
