The radar images show a large band of rain cloud moving into our area around 08:45 hours. The band looks wide but there is no saying whether it will rain for all of the time it is above us, however, looking at the cloud density it would be reasonable to expect prolonged showers. Between showers we should get some cloud breaks and even glimpses of the sun.
The current images suggest that we could expect rain at any time until mid afternoon. Coupled with the showers will be a cold and breezy wind which will make things feel cooler than the top temperature of 5-6c.
As the day passes into night the clouds will clear leaving us with no cover overnight and thus temperatures will fall to around 2c.
