Forecast for today.

Another day of almost constant cloud cover will be our lot for today!  The radar images currently show an almost total covering for the  whole day with the cloud thickening as the day passes into late afternoon.

With the jet stream running below the country we will, like yesterday, also have lower than average temperatures with our high today only reaching around 5-6c.

The pressure charts show that as the day passes the isobars begin to get closer.  Regular readers of this blog will know that this means that wind speeds should increase.  The isobars are not tightly formed and, therefore, the wind speed will not be high.

Looking ahead the rain radar picture show a large band of rain moving into the country and this should reach us by very late evening or during the early hours.  This is, however, is a long way off and the picture could easily change.

Summary.

Cloudy and cool.
