Forecast for today.
As I outlined yesterday a large band of rain passed over our area during the early hours and has deposited a fair amount of rain. You may find some lying water around as you make your way in to work so care is needed.
In the main the largest part of the rain has now passed, however, there is a second smaller cluster heading our way around 08:30 to 09:00. This band is rather splintered and could reach some areas and not other. Overall the band will be totally clear of our area by 11:00 hours.
As the day continues the clouds will thin and we could see some winter sun. With the S-SW wind this will help to give us a top temperature of around 10c.
The pressure map shows that the isobars are a little more tightly formed than the past couple of days and this means that we will have a steady but noticeable breeze.
Summary.
Rain clearing to leave thinning cloud. Top of 10c.
