Forecast for today.
Today will be a day of complete contrast. This morning we will have periods of steady rain and drizzle. As I write this blog the rain is falling at a rate of 2mm/hr and looking at the radar images the rain could remain with us until around 11:30 – 12:00. As the morning passes we will have some lighter or even dry spells as the rain clouds are very patchy.
During the afternoon the clouds will clear and we should have some bright spells and a top of 9c. The lack of clouds, however, means we will have a cold night. The overnight temperature will fall to around 1-2c.
We are now in a system of low pressure and this will be around for most of the week with higher pressure systems not reaching us next weekend. See pressure charts.
This low pressure system would indicate that we should see some rain on most days next week.
Summary.
Damp start to the day getting brighter in the afternoon.
