Observations made 06:15 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.

Air pressure : 1014.4mb

Temperature : -1.4c

Wind : calm

Relative humidity : 86%

Rain since 00:01 hours : 0mm

Rain this month : 6.4mm

Forecast for today.

Today will start with some ground frost and a clear sky.   Great care will, therefore, need to be taken we driving or walking under the railway bridge in Hall lane, Hammerwich as there is bound to be some black ice and slippery conditions.

The clear sky will allow for plenty of morning sun and temperatures will climb by midday to around 8c.

As the afternoon passes the cloud will increase and the sun will become more patchy until, eventually, the cloud cover will be complete.  Radar images and forecast models suggest this cloud cover will remain with us for a few day forward and even bring us some rain  midweek.

With all of the cloud cover temperatures will remain high over night and we can expect the low not to fall below 4c.

Summary.

Bright start, clouding later.
