Forecast for today.

Today we will see a little more cloud than yesterday but the cloud will still, for the majority of the time, allow some sun to shine through.

Temperatures will reach a maximum of around 17c and although we will have a cool, generally northerly breeze, it will not be of sufficient speed to make the day feel uncomfortable.

The instruments are showing a fall in the relative humidity and this indicates little moisture content in the atmosphere and so we can expect another dry day.  The day almost mirrors the same day a year ago when the high pressure and low northerly wind speed kept the volcanic cloud ash suspended above the UK.

As the day passes the cloud will thicken a little and this will help maintain overnight temperatures.  Our minimum will be a very mild 8-9c.

Another good day for getting out and about.  The only risk to us is when the clouds thicken later in the afternoon as this may bring an isolated shower.  I cannot forecast if this will be in our area but if you go out it may be worth packing your “cap” in your bag just in case. My thoughts at the moment, however, is that it will remain dry throughout.

Summary.

More cloud but still bright.  Top 17c.
