WS7 weather report for Hammerwich, Lichfield, Burntwood, Brownhills and surrounding areas (26 April 2011).

Observations made 06:36 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.

Air pressure : 1027.9mb
Temperature : 7.9c
Wind : 1mph (NNE)
Relative humidity : 80%
Rain since 00:01 hours : 0mm

Forecast for today.

The jet stream is currently sitting well above the UK and this is forcing down cooler winds from a N – NE direction.

A look out of the window this morning will show that the sky is full of cloud and this will be the pattern for much of the day.  The cloud may fracture a little as the day passes to allow some sunlight through but, predominantly, it will be a cloudy day.

Top temperatures will only reach around 13c and it will feel cool with the generally NE breeze.  At times the breeze may pick up a little more speed but the average will only be around 8 mph.

Overnight the temperature will fall considerably and we could see temperatures as low as 3-4c. Care will, therefore, be needed with delicate plants.

As the day passes the possibility of rain increases and if not during the day I expect to see that some rain has fallen overnight.

Summary.

A cooler and grey day.
