Temperature : 9.3c

Wind : 5mph NE

Relative humidity : 82%

Rain since 00:01 hours : 0mm

Forecast for today.

Today, as you no doubt are aware, is the wedding day of Prince William and Kate Middleton and so many parties and gatherings are being held across the region.  The weather, therefore, could be a very important factor today.

I have to honest straight away as I can’t promise a completely sunny and calm day today.

The day will be generally cloudy until around late morning/ lunch time when the cloud will begin to fracture and we will see some sunshine.  The top temperature will be around 16c.

The wind is from a NE direction today and, therefore, it could feel a little cool in the breeze.  The average wind speed will be around 10mph with gusts around twice that speed.

A threat of showers remains throughout the day but more particularly around midday and the afternoon period.  Some of the rain could be heavy.  it will, however, be very localised and, therefore, I will report via twitter (@ws7weather) as the system develops and the picture becomes clearer on the radar images.

Summary

Cloudy start, some sunshine but a threat of showers later.
