Forecast for today.
The winds that were so much a feature of yesterday will again be with us for the majority of today. A look at the pressure charts shows that the isobars do begin to get wider apart later this evening and so by this time tomorrow the wind should be a little calmer. We can still, however, expect a steady 10 mph breeze with gusts around 30mph today (similar gusts speeds to yesterday).
The clouds will start off giving us a fairly complete covering and remain that way until evening time when they will begin to dissipate completely. Overnight we will have a mostly clear sky.
Temperatures today will not reach any dizzy heights and we can only expect the top temperature to be of around 14-15c and the low around 6c.
This afternoon a band of rain cloud will move into our area travelling towards the SE and this should bring us some rain. If you are travelling towards the north of the UK you will find that rain will be a constant feature today.
Despite the cloud cover we should still see some occasional bright spells.
Summary.
Breezy, rain this afternoon.
