WS7 weather report for Hammerwich, Lichfield, Burntwood, Brownhills and surrounding areas (30 May 2011).

Observations made 08:12 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.

Air pressure : 1006mb

Temperature : 9.7c

Wind : 2 mph WSW

Relative humidity : 87%

Rain since 00:01 hours : 3.4mm

Forecast for today.

As we look out of the window we will see a typical British bank holiday weather scene – a cloudy sky and drizzle gently falling.  (The rain is currently falling at a rate of 0.8mm per hour).

The radar images show a large band of low and medium density rain carrying cloud moving across our area for the next few hours.  This will mean we will have the threat of  drizzle for a few more hours.  This drizzle may not be continuous as there does appear to be a few breaks over our area but there will always be a risk that where you are it will be drizzling soon.

By mid afternoon the band of rain will have passed us by and this will leave us with a dry but cloudy period.  Not really the news all those involved with the Lichfield bower  wanted but it is always a good day out whatever the weather.

The top temperatures today will be around 14c with the low being around 8c.

Summary.

Drizzle until early pm then drier.
