During the early hours we had a rain shower and when I woke up this morning there was some beautiful sunshine streaming through the window. This will be the theme for the day – occasional sunshine and showers.
Thin cloud will cover our area for the majority of the day and this will allow some brightness to shine through from time to time. The rain radar images look as if the UK has got measles at the moment with so many patches of fairly fast moving rain clouds dotted all around.
The likelihood is that most areas will have rain showers during the day (and particularly between now and 20:00 hours i.e the next 12 hours) as the clouds do thicken a little. It is also possible that some of the showers could be heavy and, therefore, you should prepare for such conditions if you are travelling out.
The wind will be brisk all day with an average around 8-10mph. it will eventually come from a W direction after starting out from the SW.
Top temperature for today will only be around 16-17c and our overnight low will be around 11c.
Tomorrow still looks as if it will be a lot brighter and dry.
