Forecast for today.

The jet stream is once again sitting firmly across the UK (see image) and this is bringing with it some more variable weather.

Firstly, we will have a reasonable amount of cloud cover, however, it will also fragment or thin from time to time to allow some bright sunlight to shine through.  Our top temperature today will be around 18c.

With the clouds also comes the risk of the occasional showers (some of which may be heavy).  The showers will be localised and are difficult to pinpoint at this time.  The cloud cover will, however, maintain high overnight temperatures and our low will be around 13c.

The wind will be from a south-westerly direction and at times will be brisk.  The average wind speed being around 8-10 mph, however, some gusts could be three times that speed.

Summary.

Sunshine and showers.
