Forecast for today.

The jet stream is slowly moving to the north of the country and this will, eventually, allow for some brighter weather to move into our area.  There is, however, a period to wait before that happens.

In the meantime today we are set for some more cloudy conditions.  This morning, up to around lunchtime, there are a few rain carrying clouds near and around us and, therefore, there is the risk of the odd isolated shower.

This afternoon and evening will remain dry although mostly cloudy.. The cloud will, however, begin to thin and fragment and this will allow for some periods of sunshine.

Our top temperature today will be around 18-19c and our overnight low 14c.

A feature of the day will be the constant breeze that will be from a SW to W direction.  The average wind speed will be around 8-10mph.  Some gusts could be around 20mph.

Looking ahead, our wait today for the jet stream to move will be worth it tomorrow as we should see plenty of sunshine and high temperatures!

Summary

Dull start a little brighter later.
