Forecast for today.

The jetstream is sitting just above the north coast of Scotland and, therefore, all parts of England and Wales will enjoy good spells of warm sunshine. From Glasgow onwards there is a risk of heavy showers.

In our patch there will be periods of cloud cover from time to time but these will not detract from what is going to be a warm day.  Our top temperature will be around 27c and our overnight low will be around 18c.

Looking ahead a little the jet stream is forecast to move back across and even below the UK over the next few days. This positioning means that temperatures will drop to the mid teens and we will have a return of the cloudy and occasionally showery weather.

So, enjoy today and splash on the factor 30!

Summary.

Warm and generally bright.
