WS7 weather report for Hammerwich, Lichfield, Burntwood, Brownhills, Bloxwich and surrounding areas (28 June 2011).

Observations made 06:33 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.

Air pressure : 1016mb

Temperature : 11.9c

Wind : 3mph NNW

Relative humidity : 77%

Rain last 24 hours : 1.8mm

Forecast for today.

With the jet stream slowly moving towards the south coast of the UK cooler air is now being drawn from the north.  You will note that the wind today is blowing from the NNW.

Whilst the jet stream is moving down the country we will have a generally cloudy day although there will be the odd appearance from the sun.  At times the cloud could be quite dense and the risk of some drizzle / light rain could rise but, overall, I believe the day will stay mostly cloudy but dry.

As the day passes the cloud will thin and overnight we will be left with a clear sky.  This will allow temperatures to fall into single figures (around 8c).  During the day our top temperature will be around 18-19c.

Summary

Mostly cloudy with the occasional glimpse of the sun.  Cloud clearing later this evening.
