Yesterday I recorded 6.8mm of rain falling in Hammerwich and looking at the radar images it looks as if I will be recording a lot more rain today.

The next band of rain cloud reaches our area around 11:00 hours and until then we could see some brighter spells.  Our top temperature will reach around 15c-16c.

By mid afternoon the radar images suggests that we will be into a period of heavier rainfall and this could continue, off and on, for the rest of the evening.  Our overnight low will 12c.

If you want to plan a trip to the shops or a spell in the garden the bright spots of the day will be before 11:00 hours and immediately after lunchtime.

There will also be a stronger breeze today than of late and this will start in the SW and eventually come from the W.   The average wind speed today will be around 10mph although some gusts could blow at twice that speed.

Summary.
