WS7 weather report for Hammerwich, Lichfield, Burntwood, Brownhills, Bloxwich and surrounding areas (23 July 2011).

Observations made 07:10 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.

Air pressure : 1015mb

Temperature : 10.4c

Wind : Calm

Relative humidity : 87%

Rain since 00:01 hour : 0.6mm

Forecast for today.

After some light overnight rain today will be predominantly a dry day with some bright and sunny spells. The jet stream is still allowing the northern climate to dominate and this means that, for today, temperatures will not get much above 17-18c.

Rain radar images show small clusters of rain carrying cloud coming our way during late morning early afternoon.  Many will stay dry but others will be affected by some localised showers.  Unfortunately, at this stage, I am unable to extrapolate the exact course of the clouds.

From late afternoon / early evening the cloud cover will begin to thin and overnight we will be left with a mainly clear sky. This will allow temperatures to fall into single figures and I expect our low will be around 8c.

Summary.

Mostly dry with some bright spells but also with the risk of localised showers in the afternoon.
