Forecast for today.
A relatively warm and humid start to the day but the prominent feature of the whole day will be the heavy cloud cover. Apart from the occasional break the whole country is covered in a blanket of cloud throughout.
The wind will be light today (and for the next couple of days) but will increase in speed a little late Sunday / Monday when the isobars begin to tighten up again.
Our top temperature will be around 20-21c and the overnight low will only fall as far as 15c with our “cloud blanket” keeping in the warmth.
With this amount of cloud comes the risk of rain during the late morning and the radar images show that there is a slight risk of some light drizzle in isolated parts of our area. The chances are, however, that it will pass us by.
Later in the day, we should see some periods of heavier rain. This is always to be expected with this type of weather pattern.
Looking back at my records I see that the corresponding day’s weather, last year, was almost a mirror image of what we have in store today. Nothing changes – not even the weather!
Summary.
Humid, cloudy day. Rain likely late afternoon and evening.
