Observations made 07:36 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.

Temperature : 16.4c

Wind : 8mph SW

Relative humidity : 83%

Cloud cover : 1/8

Rain last 24 hours : 0.2mm

Forecast for today.

A very sunny start welcomes us to the day and it is great to see some blue sky and bright sunshine once again.

Sadly, the cloud cover will increase as the day passes but we will have some bright spells during the day.  Our top temperature will reach around 20c.  Overnight the low will fall to 13c.

The radar images shows that there is plenty of rain clouds across the UK but, in the main, they seem to be missing our area.  There are , however, a couple of rain clouds that are forecast to pass our way so if you go out take your cap or brolly as a precaution.  Any shower will be localised and brief so it is still worth getting out and enjoying the great outdoors. For the majority the day will remain dry.

Th wind will be strongest during the morning and we could see gusts up to 25-30 mph.  The wind will remain from a SSW direction.  As the day passes the charts indicate to me that the wind will die down a little.  We can expect the average wind speed to be around 8mph.

Summary.

Cloud increasing but still some bright spells.  Breezy start and risk of isolated localised showers but a generally dry day for the majority.
