Forecast for today.

Today sees the start of a new weather pattern as the jet stream has now moved below the UK thus allowing the cooler northern climate to dominate.

The day will start cloudy and there is the small risk of some drizzle / light shower around noon.  During the afternoon  the clouds will be begin to thin and clear from the west leaving us with some brighter spells during the afternoon and early evening.  Despite the sunshine our top temperature will be “nothing to write home about” as we will only reach a maximum of about 19c.

The reduced cloud cover and the cooler northern climate does also mean that temperatures will also drop overnight and our low will be around 11c.

Initially the wind will be from the SW but we should expect that during the day this will shift towards the NW.  Wind speeds will remain light with the average around 6mph.

Summary.

Cloudy start with slight risk of shower around noon.  Brighter spells later.
