Forecast for today.
Plenty of grey cloud welcomes us to the morning and we certainly have not received the amount of rainfall that the radar images indicated was being carried by the clouds late yesterday and overnight. You will have your own opinion if this was a good or bad thing but I would have liked a spot more gentle rain on the garden.
So far we have received just 0.2mm of rain today and there is very little more rain in the clouds. The next threat of rain will be around morning rush hour but if we do receive any rain it will be light and short lived.
As the passes the clouds will firstly fragment and then eventually clear to allow some sun to shine through. This will allow the top temperature to rise to around 20c. Although a little low for the time of the year it will be very pleasant.
The winds will be generally light throughout with an average speed of around 7mph. The direction will move as the day passes from a position generally south to one generally from the west.
Overnight the temperature will fall to a low of around 11c.
Summary.
Early risk of a light shower / drizzle then dry and getting brighter as the day passes.
