Forecast for today.

Waking up to some brighter weather this morning certainly lifts the spirits and the day should continue along that meteorological theme.

Although there are large rain clouds gathering around the Irish sea these will not blow inland as far as our area but will travel on the south-westerly wind towards Scotland.

We will have periods of cloud today but these clouds will thin or fragment from time to time to also bring us some brighter sunny spells.  The top temperature will only reach 18c but the with just a gentle SW breeze it could feel warmer.  The cloud will be at its most persistent during the afternoon.

Overnight the low will fall to around 12c.  You will, therefore, need to wrap up warm if you are camping out at this weekends V Festival. The day will, however, remain dry throughout.

Summary.

Dry and occasionally bright day.  Some cloud particularly during the afternoon.
