Forecast for today.

The jet stream is currently running across the southern part of the country allowing the northern climate to dominate.  This will bring us plenty of blue sky and some bright spells.  As the day passes, however, the jet stream will move up the country and will eventually settle above the UK.  This will lead to some inclement weather later in the week.

However let’s deal with today. We will wake up to some blue sky and little wind.  This will set a pattern for the day.  As usual cloud will increase during the late morning mid afternoon when temperatures are high and, therefore, evaporation is at the highest but this cloud will still fragment enough to let some sunshine through.  Our top temperature will be around 20c.

The observant amongst you will note that during the day the wind will switch from a generally southern direction to one from the north.  Winds will, however, remain light all day.

The northern breeze and little cloud cover will mean that temperatures will drop to around 12- 13c overnight.

Summary

A generally bright and pleasant day.
