Forecast for today.
Another bright start to the day and a very pleasant early morning. We will see plenty of sunshine today as the cloud cover will be fragmented or thin a lot of the time.
The bright sunshine will, however, not mask the fact that the northern climate is dominating over our area at the moment and this will restrict our top temperature to around 18c. Overnight there will be a chill in the air with a top of only 8c.
Throughout the morning and afternoon we run the risk of a rain shower. Any rain shower today will just be like yesterday, localised and relatively brief. The current radar images show lots of small cluster of rain clouds across the UK and so we would be extremely lucky if we escaped them all. The further you head north into Staffordshire/ Derbyshire and south into Worcestershire the greater the risk of more prolonged rain.
Winds will remain at around 8mph and from a West to North West direction.
Summary.
Plenty of bright spells but risk of isolated showers too.
