Forecast for today.

What you see when you look out this morning is more or less what you can expect for the rest of the day – cloud.

The day will be dominated by variable cloud cover and we are very unlikely to see much, if any,  sun shine through. The jet stream is running away from the UK and this is allowing the northern climate to dominate the weather system.  This situation is bringing us some cooler weather.

Our top temperature will only be around 13-14c and our overnight low will be similar to last night at around 11c.

The rain radar imagery does not show up any large risk to our area and so I do expect the daytime to remain dry.  I will  review the situation later today and report any significant change via twitter (@WS7weather).

The pressure charts suggest that the breeze will die down as the day passes but whilst it is with us it could get a little gusty from time to time.  The average speed during the morning / early afternoon will be around 8mph.

Summary.

Cloudy but mostly dry.
