WS7 weather report for Hammerwich, Lichfield, Burntwood, Brownhills, Bloxwich and surrounding areas (14 September 2011).

Observations made 06:34 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.

Air pressure : 1013mb

Temperature : 10.1c

Wind : 8 mph WSW

Relative humidity : 78%

Cloud cover : 1/8

Rain since 00:01 hours : 0mm

Forecast for today.

A bright and clear start to the day accompanies a low temperature of 10c.  If ever we needed signs of Autumn we are getting them now.

Overall today will be quite pleasant with the sun shining through thin or fragmented cloud at times during the day.  The WSW wind will shift a few degrees towards the W and during daylight hours the cloud will begin to increase.  This will bring a slight threat (around 25%) of rain around mid afternoon (as with all W to E weather patterns). My initial observations and thoughts are, however, that we should remain dry throughout.

During the day temperatures will rise to around 16c and once again overnight they will fall to around 10c.  Winds will be light and getting lighter as the day passes.

Summary.

A dry and occasionally bright day.
