WS7 weather report for Hammerwich, Lichfield, Burntwood, Brownhills, Bloxwich and surrounding areas (25 September 2011).

Observations made 09:15 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.

Air pressure : 1012mb

Temperature : 15.1c

Wind : 5mph SSW

Relative humidity : 87%

Cloud cover : 8/8

Rain since 00:01 hours : 0.4mm

Forecast for today.

The rain radar images show two bands of rain cloud sitting very closely either side of our area, however, there is some convergence as the morning passes and, therefore, we should expect some more light rain between 10:00 hours and 13:00 hours.  To be clear, it will not rain throughout this period but this is the time slot the imagery identifies rain clouds immediately over our area.

During the afternoon the risk of rain will reduce and we should even see the occasional bright spell.  Our top temperature today will be similar to my 09:15 hours reading at around 15.5-16c. The cloud will maintain the residual heat overnight and our low will only fall to around 11c.

The wind will remain light all day and from a generally S direction.

Summary

chance of showers during the morning brighter later.
