WS7 weather report for Hammerwich, Lichfield, Burntwood,Brownhills, Bloxwich and surrounding areas (19 October 2011)

Observations made 06:32 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.

Air pressure : 1013mb

Temperature : 5.6c

Wind : 5mph (SW)

Relative humidity : 81%

Rain since 00:01 hours : 0mm

Forecast for today.

There is a small band of rain moving to the north of us until around 09:00.  Whilst the majority will miss our area there are some fragments of rain cloud that will pass over our area.  These may bring us the odd isolated shower.

After this time the cloud will fragment a little more and we will see brighter but cool spells. Our top temperature today will only reach 8-9c.

The wind will eventually move around towards the NW and this will help keep temperatures down.  The average wind speed will be around 5mph with gusts of around 15mph.

With the wind switching towards the north-west we can expect the possibility of a shower or two during the afternoon as the earth begins to cool down.  This is typical when we have a predominantly west to east weather pattern.

Overnight, with a clear sky, our temperatures will fall to 4-5c.

Summary.

Some sunny spells but cool.  The odd shower also probable.
