Observations made 07:52 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.

Rain since 00:01 hours : 0mm

Forecast for today.

We will start off with a fragmented sky but as the day passes the cloud cover will increase as we are still under the influence of a west to east weather pattern.  By early evening we can expect some rainfall. There are indications that some of the rainfall could be moderate in density. (1-2mm/hr). 

Overall though the daytime will be pleasant with temperatures of around 11c and a warm SW breeze.  The wind speed will increase as the day passes and we will have some gusts of around 10mph but overall the average speed will be around 5mph.

Overnight the temperature will stay up to near the daytime temperature due to the increased cloud creating a “blanket”.  Our low will only fall to around 8-9c.

Summary.

Mild day with increasing cloud bringing the risk of rain by early evening.
