Forecast for today.

After yesterday’s day of peace and calm weather wise today will return us to more seasonal conditions.

The day will start off warm at 11c and this will rise to a maximum daytime temperature of around 12c.  The day’s wind will start off quite gusty with an average speed of around 12mph and a gust speeds of 25-30 mph.  These gusts will die down as the day passes.  The wind direction will be from the SSW-SW.

There are large rain cloud banks to either side of our area this morning and we may come across a few rogue clouds that bring an instance or two of drizzle.  This afternoon the large band of rain from the west will move across our area and we will then see some more persistent and heavier rainfall.

As the daylight hours pass the clouds will begin to thin and eventually leave us all together.  This will allow overnight temperatures to fall to around 4c.  Once again gardeners will need to wrap up their tender plants.

Summary.

Increasing cloud will bring more persistent rain.  Breezy, particularly during the morning.
