Observations made 07:40 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.

Air pressure : 1007mb

Temperature : 1.9c

Wind : 5 mph WSW

Relative humidity : 88%

Rain last 24 hours : 1mm

Forecast for today.

It is another cold day ahead so if you are planning a trip to the shops or even taking the dog for a walk you will need to wrap up warm.

Our top temperature will be around 4c today but we will see the wind shift towards the north as the day passes making the “feel” of the temperature more like 2c.  The wind will blow at an average speed of around 8mph.

There are a few rain clouds around our area today and I expect that all parts will see an isolated shower or two sometime during the next 12 hours.

Overall it will be a cloudy day but we may see the odd glimpse of the winter sun through some thin cloud.  The cloud will thin more as the day passes.

As soon as the daylight hours are passed the temperature will quickly fall to around freezing point and overnight we can expect a low of -1c.  If you have to travel early in the morning be aware that the roads and paths may be icy.

Summary

A cold day with the chance of the occasional isolated shower.
