Forecast for today.

The major bank of rain clouds have now passed our area and we will see a predominantly dry but cloudy day.  With the low level clouds there is a still, however, a risk of some drizzle but this will only be light if at all.

During the morning the dew point is around the actual temperature and this means that we could see the odd patch of mist around the fields and any still water.  This mist will dissipate as the morning progresses.

There is the chance of us also seeing the odd brighter spell today as the cloud cover will fragment a little from time to time.  This will help our top temperature rise to around 11-12c whilst the overnight low will only fall to around 6-7c.

As the day passes the pressure charts show a tightening of the isobars which means that the wind speed will increase.   This increased speed will then remain for the remainder of the week including Christmas day.

Today we will see the wind speed average around 8mph and we will have gusts of around 20mph.  The wind direction will be from the W-WSW.

Summary.

Generally dry and mild.  Breeze increasing as the day passes.
