Forecast for today.

It will be another cold and frosty start to the day today with the overnight low falling to minus 3.6c at 04:03 hours.  This will leave the paths, roads and towpaths slippery in places.

Today, however, is a day of change with the jet stream moving its position.  By 15:00 hours the jet stream will running through the country and this will begin to bring more cloud to the UK as it moves its way across the UK West to East.

As the day passes we can expect the temperature to rise during daylight hours to around 3-4c.  Overnight, when the cloud bank develops enough to bring some rain to our patch, the temperature will rise to around 6-7c.

Returning to today.  During the morning we will see some brighter spells so make the most of it as we have a cloudy few days ahead of us. The good news is, however, that the car windscreen covers can be packed away for a day or too as we will not be having any overnight frost.

Summary

Cold start getting cloudier as the day passes.
