Forecast for today.

There is currently a large band of light rain that is moving across our area and this will bring rain and drizzle until mid morning.

The cloud will then thin a little to allow some brighter spells but, overall, it will be a cloudy day.  Later in the afternoon there is more evidence of some rain clouds moving across our patch and this could bring more light rain / drizzle until early evening.

Our top temperature will be lower than yesterday and will peak at around 8c.  Overnight the low will fall to around 3c.

The feature to watch out for today (and the next few days) is the increasing wind speeds.  The pressure charts show that from now and right through the weekend the isobards are tightening and this will bring a steady 10-15mph breeze with gusts around 40mph.  Once again any loose items in the garden should be moved or secured now.  The wind will be predominantly from the W – WSW.

Summary.

Rain during both “drive times” likely.  Cloudy and cooler the rest of the day.
