Forecast for today
A cold and, in some places, a frosty start to the day.  We will see some nice bright spells today but the jet stream is bringing us some cooler north-easterly temperatures and this will help keep the high down to around 6-7c.

The wind will remain at around 6mph with gusts of 5mph. The direction will be generally from the WSW. With the wind chill the top temperature will feel more like 5c.

As the day passes cloud will increase and this will bring the odd isolated shower.

Overnight the temperature will fall to around 1-2c which could also leave us with a frost on Saturday morning.

Summary.
Some bright spells but feeling cool.
