Forecast for today.

The pattern is now set for the rest of the week as a band of high pressure sits over the UK.  This will bring us some bright spells from time to time but we will also have a period of low temperatures to deal with.  Our astronomy friends will have some opportunities to star watch over the week although tonight thin cloud will come across our region as the night passes.

Today our daytime high will be around 2c and the low overnight will be around -2c.

This morning the radar images do show a very slight threat of an isolated wintry shower although the probability is that most of us will not see any fall of either rain or sleet.

There will be very little wind today and any that does blow will be from the ENE-NE direction.  This wind will make things feel very cool indeed.

The bottom line is if you are out and about today is to wrap up warm and tread carefully as there may be some icy patches around.

Summary

A cool day with some bright spells.
