Forecast for today.

A much cloudier day will greet us all today and this will be the pattern for the next few days ahead.  The jet stream is now working much closer to the UK and whilst, for today at least, it is picking up some cooler air from around Greenland the overall climate will be much milder.

As usual when the jet stream is running more West to East across the UK the cloud cover increases along with it the chance of some drops of rain.  Today will be no exception.  It will remain generally cloudy and dry all day, however, we should also be prepared for the odd patch of localised light rain or drizzle if we are going out.

Temperatures will reach a maximum of around 4-5c today and our overnight low will fall to around 2c.  The winds will be light and from the WNW-NW.

Summary

Mostly cloudy but warmer than of late.
