Observations made 06:30 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.

Air pressure : 1030.6mb

Temperature : 2.5c

Wind : 2mph WSW-W

Relative humidity : 97%

Rain this month / year : 12 / 62.6mm

Sunrise / sunset : 07:14 / 17: 00 hours.

Forecast for today.

A new hazard is in place for our journey to work this morning as mist is lying around parts of the area.  With the dew point temperature matching the actual temperature and a relative humidity over 90% the instruments told me the tale before I looked out of the window.  We can expect the mist to lie with us for a few hours.

We should also be prepared for some drizzle this morning, particularly, around drive time and the later parts of the morning.

Winds will remain from a generally westerly direction (WNW to WSW) and will average a speed of around 7mph.

As with any West to East weather pattern we can also expect a generally cloudy day and this will keep the maximum temperature down to around 5c.  Overnight the temperature will fall to around 2c.  The cloud will, however, have the odd break or fragmentation to allow some brightness thorough.

Finally, the observant amongst you will have noticed that the sunset today is 17:00 hours.  Spring is just around the corner!

Summary

A damp and misty start. Little temperature change.
