Forecast for today.

We are in for a very a very mild day today with a temperature high of around 10c.  This daytime high  will be accompanied by an overnight low of around 6c.

There will be increased levels of cloud around today and (as I have often said in this blog) with a West to East weather pattern we should expect some rainfall late afternoon / early evening.  Any rain that does fall will be light and the showers will be isolated.

The wind will increase in speed as the day passes and by late afternoon we should expect average speeds of around 8mph and gusts of 15-20mph.  The wind direction will be from the WSW.

As I indicated yesterday there will be a sharp fall in temperature over the weekend and this will be made more evident by the mild temperatures of today.  Tomorrow, by mid afternoon, the temperature will have fallen to around 3-4c  and overnight we will see freezing point temperatures.  We should also see some rain tomorrow although I will be able to confirm this situation more in the next bulletin.

Summary for today.

Increasing cloud with some rain possible.  Mild temperatures.
