Temperature : 5.3c

Wind : 4mph WSW

Forecast for today.

The day will start off bright and throughout the day we will see some pleasant bright spells.  The bright spells will be broken up, from time to time, by varying levels of fragmented cloud.  As we pass into the evening the cloud will be at its most dense which may make any astronomy survey difficult but it will help keep the night time temperature high.

Temperatures will remain warm with our high around 10c and our overnight low will be around 5-6c.  Winds will be light throughout the day with the WSW wind blowing at an average speed of 5mph.

At the moment we are sitting in the middle of some high pressure and a warm front and this will stay with us for a few days yet.  The GFS weather model for the UK shows that the winds will increase towards the end of the week and we should also see some rain next Friday/ Saturday and possibly Sunday.  This is clearly subject to change, however, the picture is fairly clear at the moment.

My advice is don’t put off until next weekend what you could do today as the weather might not be suitable.

Summary.

A pleasant day with cloud density increasing as the day passes.
